Elliot Cadieux

Elliot was raised in the Halonic Orthodox church and Scholasticate under his adoptive noble father, who is a priest. He spent time as a pianist and organist before serving as a nurse in the Dragonsong war. His naivete and vanity often get in the way of his earnest attempts at pacifism and understanding, but sometimes he stumbles into successes—mostly due to his belief in love as an exception to all things.

Nolanel Feran

Nolanel grew up impoverished in the Coerthan Lowlands, where he often toiled in the mines to supplement materials for his father's forge. After the Calamity, his abusive mother razed part of their house, forcing them to move to the Brume. He enlisted near immediately, was endorsed by House Durendaire as a dragoon, and was knighted at nineteen. As it stands, trauma upon trauma has exacerbated his natural shyness and anger, making him somewhat volatile and insular in character.

Hi! I'm Bri (she/her). 24yo. I like writing, photoshop, and Ishgard!

  • Most of my characters are on Balmung, but a few are on Adamantoise. I can also RP on Discord or Tumblr!

  • I like to think out my replies so I can occasionally be slow! My style leans towards paragraph entries, not single-lines.

  • My characters are, by and large, regular people trying to survive. I prefer low-powered characters that don't have realm-shaking attachments. I do my best to accommodate WoLs, but some things might be out of my comfort zone.

  • Pre-established relationships, AUs, and time-jumping can be fun! Let's talk it out if you're interested.

  • Unless we're already friends, I'm not interested in shipping on a general basis! I'm not interested in ERP at all.

  • Violence is fine! No long-lasting injuries without asking, please.

  • I have other characters that I may write about but I don't often RP with. If you're interested in one, let me know and I can blow the dust off them!

  • I don’t tolerate OOC bigotry.

Nolanel Feran is solemn, fearful, prideful, devoted, shy, and charitable. In his childhood, he lived in the southern Coerthan Lowlands. His selfish mother tyrannized the household, his milquetoast father offered no support, and he often escaped the long days in the forge and mine by helping as a farmhand at a nearby ranch.Following the Calamity, his mother forced the family to relocate to the Brume. To support the new mortgage, Nolanel and his father slaved over forge. He saw a second escape in the military, and at the age of fifteen he enlisted despite the shrills of his mother. With the sponsorship of the zealous House Durendaire, he enrolled into the Order of the Knights Dragoon. However, months before his knighting, Nolanel participated on a dive into the Aurum Vale. Goldbile burned his hands and legs, traumatizing him deeper and rooting his shame and self-loathing. He remains fiercely religious as a method of coping, but his struggles with mental health are violent and largely ineffective. The Dragonsong War ended before he felt finished with it, so Nolanel readily threw himself into the Liberation War in Gyr Abania. Although that conflict concluded in a rounded success, he returned home still restless. In an uncharacteristic bout of recklessness, he cracked his ankles in the Dusk Vigil. By being tagged with medical leave, he fortuitously—but unwillingly—avoided the Battle of Ghimlyt Dark.

For as long as Elliot can remember, he has lived within the holy halls of Saint Reymanaud’s Cathedral, raised by his adoptive father, a priest named Josseloux Cadieux. The boy swiftly flourished in the Scholasticate as a veritable genius of theology, medicine, and music—but he hosts little ambition for himself besides finding love.During the Dragonsong War, he drifted between assisting in mass as an organist and in infirmaries as a nurse. The experience struck him from his insincere life. He soon found that he could no longer waltz between flattering nobles and seeking gossip without his throughts turning to the horrors beyond the Gates of Judgement. Championing himself a type of war critic, he works to found research into neurosis and social support for veterans. His restlessness following the war brought him to the philanthropic efforts of the Bellworks Manufacturing Co.—as well as to the company's unit devoted to war-related aid. Elliot served in Gyr Abania as a field medic, remained with the company though its rebranding, and operates as a nurse and diplomat within its walls in the Goblet.
